Valerica was born September 1st, 1999, in Vaslui, Romania, and was then transferred to Codaesti Hospital. He lived at Codaesti until December 12th, 2001, at which time Bridge of Love found a foster family in Barlad to take care of him. The foster family consists of a father, mother, and two older sisters who no longer live with the family. Vali is very attached to both his foster parents.

Vali is attending our school for special needs children, where he takes classes of speech therapy, play therapy, and social skills. He is also part of our new Kinder Class, which has a more typical preschool curriculum for those children who are more advanced in their development. Valerica loves learning and has come a long ways over the last two years.
