Mihaela was born June 6, 1998 in Vaslui Maternity, and was then transferred to Tutova Hospital. Her natural parents lived in a nearby village but were unable to care for the child because of her health problems. Mihaela continued to spend the next few years at Tutova.

On March 27, 2002, Bridge of Love found a foster family to take care of her. The family consists of a mother, and an older sister and brother. The older siblings have been very helpful to the mother in helping to care for Mihaela, who is a special needs child. The family loves her very much.

Mihaela attends Cristi’s School and receives daily therapy. She is progressing in both her language and behavioral skills.

Bridge of Love is working to get Mihaela a birth certificate. The process is complicated but necessary for each child to have an identity.
