Evening of Inspiration and Laughter a great success
On July 11, 2009, Bridge of Love held its first-ever annual fundraiser banquet at the Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City, entitled "An Evening of Inspiration & Laughter." The event included a delicious meal, and featured guest speaker Chad Hymas and entertainer Jason Hewlett. Chad and Jason donated their time and helped raise a significant amount of money to benefit the abandoned children of Romania who receive support from Bridge of Love.
Bridge of Love wishes to thank Chad, Jason and everyone else who helped make this wonderful fundraiser event possible! We are very grateful to the following business sponsors for their support:
Cambric Corporation
Chad Hymas Communications, Inc.
Dr. Robert Tayler, DDS
Durham Jones & Pinegar
Lundberg & Associates
The Presidio Group, Inc.
Rodney Service Company
Rosewood Dental
WORCS Racing
At the age of 27, Chad Hymas broke his neck in an accident which left him a quadriplegic. Since that day, Chad has become the president of his own communications company, races in marathons and travels worldwide as a member of the National Speakers Association. Banquet guests were inspired by Chad's stories and message of the importance of giving of ourselves to help others, discovering why the Wall Street Journal calls Chad "one of the 10 most inspirational people in the world!" www.chadhymas.com
Jason Hewlett has thrilled audiences from coast-to-coast with his one-man show, and is a regular guest in Las Vegas at such venues as The Venetian, Mandalay Bay, etc. Guests laughed until it hurt as they watched Jason's performance - an entertaining blend of comedy, music, dancing and singing impressions. www.jasonhewlett.com
The evening included the presentation of a new video about Bridge of Love's work to provide comfort and hope to the abandoned children of Romania. The video was produced thanks to the volunteer service of Quin Boardman and Dave Trevino of And Art Design. It will be posted on Bridge of Love's Web site soon. www.andartdesign.com
A special thanks to Tim Border for doing a magnificent job as the master of ceremonies for the event.
It will be extremely tough to top this year's fundraiser banquet next summer, but we'll certainly do our best!
